GST registration is mandatory if your aggregate annual turnover exceeds ₹40 lakh (goods) or ₹20 lakh (services) in Telangana. E-commerce sellers and businesses making inter-state supplies must register regardless of turnover. Voluntary registration is also possible below the threshold to claim Input Tax Credit.
GST registration typically takes 3–7 working days after the ARN (Application Reference Number) is generated. In cases where the officer requires physical verification of the business premises, the timeline can extend to 30 days. We track your application and follow up with the GST department proactively.
GSTIN (Goods and Services Tax Identification Number) is a 15-digit unique identifier assigned to your business on GST registration. The first two digits indicate the state code (36 for Telangana), followed by your PAN, entity number and a check digit. You must quote GSTIN on all GST invoices.
ITC can be claimed on stock held on the date of registration under Section 18 of the CGST Act, subject to conditions. We advise on the stock statement and ITC claim process as part of the registration engagement so you don't lose eligible credit.
Regular taxpayers must file GSTR-1 (outward supplies) monthly or quarterly and GSTR-3B (summary return) monthly. Composition scheme taxpayers file CMP-08 quarterly. Annual return GSTR-9 is due by December 31. We provide a compliance calendar and handle all return filings as part of our GST retainer.
The composition scheme allows small taxpayers with turnover up to ₹1.5 crore (₹75 lakh for special category states) to pay GST at a flat rate (1%–6%) instead of normal rates, with quarterly filings. However, ITC cannot be claimed and interstate sales are not permitted. We advise on whether the composition scheme is beneficial for your specific business.
